The students from 7.ABC and 4.A HLW spent seven wonderful days in the capital of Great Britain, improving their English while immersing themselves in the local culture. They stayed with very welcoming host families, who even shed a few tears when it was time to say goodbye. In the mornings the students attended English classes provided by local actors.
The programme included trips to Ely Cathedral, Cambridge, and Brighton. In London, the students visited the Tower of London, went on a cruise on the River Thames, and attended the musical Hercules, which took their breath away, as most had never seen such a stunning show before. In Cambridge the students tried punting which turned out to be more exhausted than they had expected.
The students were accompanied by their English teachers, Mag. Josef Schuster, Mag. Christine Thanner, and Mag. Waltraud Haingartner, who made sure everyone returned home safe and sound.
This language journey will certainly remain in the participants’ memories for a long time.
