This year again, the students of the Bundesschulcluster Murau had the opportunity to participate in a native speaker week. The teachers of “English in Action”, an organization from Canterbury in England, worked with the students of the fifth classes of Borg and the first HLW.
They had six lessons a day, for five days a week ONLY speaking English. During these 30 lessons they covered topics dealing with everyday life, learned about the United Kingdom and rehearsed sketches.
At the end of the course the students gave presentations and showed the headmaster as well as the Borg English teachers the results. We were thrilled watching a reenacting of the “Bergdoktor, learning about new games or seeing a TV show.
Summing up, the students agreed that it has been a great and informative but also exhausting week.
